Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and highly skilled Electrical Construction Project Manager to lead large-scale electrical projects from inception to completion. Duties
- Lead the execution, and closing of electrical construction projects, ensuring adherence to project scope, schedule, and budget.
- Coordinate construction scheduling activities across teams.
- Review construction drawings, schematics, and technical specifications to verify accuracy and compliance with electrical building codes.
- Manage project contracts, change orders, and procurement processes while maintaining clear communication with clients, subcontractors, and vendors.
- Oversee permitting phases by coordinating with local authorities to secure necessary approvals; ensure all work complies with electrical codes and safety standards.
- Monitor project costs through effective cost management strategies; track expenses.
- Conduct regular site inspections to review construction progress, quality control measures, and safety protocols; address issues promptly to minimize delays.
- Lead project team meetings; facilitate collaboration among engineers, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure seamless project execution.
- Review construction drawings and schematics for accuracy; ensure proper installation of electrical systems including wiring, panels, lighting, and control systems.
- Ensure all work adheres to NFPA 70 (National Fire Protection Association standards) for electrical safety; implement best practices for system design and installation.
Qualifications
- Proven experience managing large-scale electrical construction projects with a strong understanding of electrical engineering principles and system design.
- Proficiency in project management software such as Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, ProCore or equivalent tools for scheduling and project tracking.
- Extensive knowledge of electrical codes including NEC (National Electrical Code) and compliance requirements.
- Demonstrated ability in construction estimating, cost management, and contract negotiation.
- Strong leadership skills with experience managing multidisciplinary teams on complex projects.
- Familiarity with construction drawing review, schematics interpretation, and blueprint reading specific to electrical systems.
- Hands-on experience in the permitting phase involving local authorities’ approval processes for electrical installations.
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively in fast-paced environments.
- Solid understanding of electrical systems design including system schematics and building infrastructure integration.
- Effective communication skills for coordinating between clients, contractors, vendors, and regulatory agencies.
