POSITION SUMMARY
The Cabinet Finishing Field Technician is responsible for assisting in applying painted finishes on cabinets at client sites, ensuring high-quality results that meet or exceed client and company expectations. This role requires traveling to various locations, precise masking, prepping, and application of finishes, and addressing any finishing-related issues on-site. The Technician must maintain professionalism, adhere to safety standards, and deliver exceptional craftsmanship.

OBJECTIVES
- Assist in the retrieval, transportation, and installation of cabinet components.
- Apply cabinet finishes on-site according to client specifications and company standards.
- Ensure high-quality finishes by following detailed instructions and utilizing proper techniques.
- Manage and complete on-site finishing tasks within scheduled timeframes.
- Address and resolve any finishing issues or defects promptly and effectively.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area to ensure safety and efficiency.
- Communicate clearly with clients to understand their needs and expectations.
- Document finishing tasks and any issues encountered during the process.
- Inspect finished work for accuracy and quality before completing the job.
- Collaborate with other team members to coordinate finishing tasks and resolve problems.
- Deliver exceptional customer service and ensure client satisfaction.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
COMPETENCIES
- Experience in applying various painted cabinet finishes using airless sprayer equipment.
- Proficiency with finishing tools and equipment.
- Strong attention to detail and craftsmanship.

- Ability to manage time, meet deadlines, and adapt to different client sites or project requirements.
- Manual dexterity and physical stamina for finishing tasks.

- Understanding of cabinet materials and finishes.
- Commitment to maintaining a clean and professional appearance.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training in cabinetry or finishing preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in cabinet finishing or other millwork finishing.
- Previous experience with on-site finishing tasks and client interactions.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Ability to lift and handle heavy cabinetry components (up to or above 50 lbs).
- Stamina to stand, bend, and kneel for extended periods.
- Manual dexterity for detailed finishing work.
- Capability to work in various physical environments, including exposure to dust and chemicals.
- Proficiency in handling and operating finishing tools and equipment.
