Duties
- Greet guests warmly and provide attentive, friendly service throughout their dining experience
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring timely delivery
- Upsell menu items including wines, spirits, cocktails, and specialty dishes to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales
- Serve food and beverages efficiently while maintaining high standards of presentation and cleanliness
- Process cash and card transactions accurately, including handling tips and processing sales through POS systems like OpenTable or similar platforms
- Maintain knowledge of menu offerings, including food safety standards, wine pairings, and cocktail recipes to assist guests effectively
- Assist with bussing tables, setting up dining areas, and ensuring sanitation standards are consistently met
Experience
- Previous food service experience in a restaurant or hospitality setting is preferred; fine dining experience is a plus
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS for order entry and transaction processing
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage guests positively and handle inquiries professionally
- Knowledge of beverage service including spirits, wine knowledge, cocktail preparation, and food handling procedures
- Proven ability to manage time efficiently during busy shifts while maintaining attention to detail
- Experience with food safety protocols and sanitation practices in the food industry
- Ability to work collaboratively with team members in a fast-paced environment while demonstrating excellent guest relations skills
