Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Mechanic to support the maintenance, repair, troubleshooting, and continuous operation of industrial manufacturing equipment. This role is responsible for proactively inspecting machinery, diagnosing mechanical and electrical issues, performing preventative and emergency repairs, and implementing solutions that minimize downtime and maximize equipment efficiency.
The ideal candidate has a strong industrial maintenance background, excellent troubleshooting skills, and experience working with pharmaceutical or manufacturing equipment while maintaining compliance with GMP, OSHA, and company safety standards.
Job Responsibilities:
- Perform preventative, predictive, and emergency maintenance on manufacturing equipment and facility systems

Inspect machinery regularly to identify potential mechanical or electrical issues before failure occurs

Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair industrial equipment, electrical components, pneumatic systems, hydraulic systems, and mechanical assemblies

Communicate daily with machine operators regarding equipment performance and operational concerns

Recommend preventative maintenance activities to improve equipment reliability and reduce downtime

Prioritize maintenance tasks based on production needs and equipment criticality

Utilize CMMS to generate, complete, and manage maintenance work orders, equipment records, and parts inventory

Complete maintenance reports, regulatory documentation, and recordkeeping accurately and on time

Perform equipment setup, repairs, changeovers, and mechanical adjustments as needed

Read and interpret technical manuals, electrical schematics, and mechanical drawings

Troubleshoot PLC-controlled equipment and perform minor programming edits when required

Maintain and repair electrical components including motors, contactors, starters, relays, sensors, and related equipment

Perform maintenance on pneumatic, hydraulic, plumbing, welding, and mechanical systems

Calibrate pressure gauges, load cells, thermocouples, torque settings, and other process instrumentation

Support maintenance and troubleshooting of tablet presses, encapsulation machines, coating equipment, blenders, packaging equipment, and dust collection systems

Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) on recurring equipment failures and implement corrective actions

Maintain lubrication systems and perform routine lubrication using appropriate food-grade lubricants

Ensure all work complies with GMP, OSHA, safety procedures, and company policies

Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment

Collaborate professionally with maintenance personnel, production staff, engineers, and management

Perform additional maintenance duties and special projects as assigned.
Job Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED required; advanced technical training or college coursework preferred

Minimum 3 years of industrial maintenance or industrial mechanic experience required

Strong mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, PLC troubleshooting, and industrial equipment maintenance experience

Proficiency using CMMS systems, hand and power tools, Microsoft Office, and reading technical drawings and schematics
Ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 50 lbs, work at heights, in confined spaces, and in hot, cold, noisy manufacturing environments; valid driver's license required.
