Veterinary Intake Coordinator
Day & Overnight Opportunities | Emergency Veterinary Medicine
Do you thrive in the fast pace of emergency medicine but love interacting with clients just as much as patients? Are you the person who can calmly assess a patient, gather critical information, and keep everything moving when the lobby is full?
Animal Emergency & Referral Center of Minnesota (AERC) is looking for Veterinary Intake Coordinators to become the medical heartbeat of our Emergency Service. This is not a traditional front desk position. Instead, you'll be the first medically trained team member to evaluate incoming emergency patients, obtain vital signs, coordinate patient flow, and help ensure every pet receives timely care.
We currently have Day and Overnight full-time opportunities available.

You'll:
-
Obtain presenting and recheck vital signs on emergency patients
-
Identify abnormal findings and immediately communicate concerns to the medical team
-
Document patient information accurately in the medical record
-
Help prioritize incoming patients and support the triage process
-
Coordinate patient movement throughout the hospital
-
Provide timely updates and communication between clients and the medical team
-
Monitor wait times and help maintain exceptional patient flow
-
Assist with light Veterinary Assistant duties when patient intake responsibilities allow
-
Occasionally assist with front desk tasks when patient care needs have been met
