Job Responsibilities:
- Performing MIG welding on parts and frames in accordance with engineering standards.
- Working effectively in both team and individual environments.
- Reading standard welding symbols from blueprints and interpreting blueprints, specifications, diagrams, or schematics to determine the appropriate welding process.
- Inspecting completed welds to maintain established quality standards and structural soundness.
- Performing a variety of duties such as welding, grinding, or repairing welded assemblies on raw steel.
- Preparing, maintaining, and submitting all necessary reports or documents accurately and on time.
- Operating hoists to safely maneuver parts into place.
- Effectively communicating any issues to supervisors or management.
- Adhering to all established company rules and regulations.
- Performing other duties as assigned to support production needs.
Must-Haves:
- Knowledge of the use and setup of MIG welding equipment, oxyacetylene torch, sander, grinder, hand tools, and measurement equipment.
- All applicants are required to take a GMAW skills test which will consist of one single pass weld on a 1/8” steel butt vertical down.
- A strong attention to detail and a firm commitment to safety.
- Dependability and punctuality to keep production on track – your team counts on you!
Nice-to-Haves:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Technical high school graduate in the welding field.
- Minimum one (1) year welding experience in production (manual or robot).
- Three (3) years of experience in production (MIG) welding.
- Ability to accurately operate and read measuring devices.
