Salary range: $39-$44/hr
Essential Job Duties:
- Reviews patient health history and informs the dentist of any changes affecting treatment.
- Prepares treatment rooms, instruments, and materials for dental procedures.
- Assists the dentist during examinations and dental procedures.
- Exposes, develops, and mounts dental radiographs.
- Cleans, sterilizes, and maintains dental instruments and equipment.
- Follows infection control and safety guidelines.
- Maintains accurate patient charts and treatment records.
- Demonstrates knowledge of various consents, including oral surgery, papoose, and endodontic procedures.
- Provides patient education and support regarding oral hygiene and treatment procedures.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
- Experience/Education: Completion of an accredited Dental Assisting program preferred.
- Licensure/Certification: Must meet applicable Iowa Dental Board requirements for registration as a Dental Assistant. Current CPR certification required.
