Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Draftsman with Construction Experience to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for creating precise technical drawings, schematics, and construction documentation that support building projects from conception through completion. Your expertise in CAD software and building code compliance will ensure that all designs meet industry standards and project specifications. Responsibilities
- Develop detailed construction drawings, schematics, and technical documentation using CAD software such as AutoCAD, Revit, ArchiCAD, MicroStation, and SolidWorks.
- Create accurate 3D models and building information models (BIM) using tools like Revit, Grasshopper 3D, Rhinoceros 3D, and 3ds Max to visualize design concepts effectively.
- Collaborate with architects, engineers, and project managers to interpret design requirements and translate them into precise drawings and models.
- Conduct building code analysis to ensure all designs comply with local regulations and safety standards.
- Prepare construction detail documentation that clearly communicates specifications for contractors and construction teams.
- Assist in system design, interior design layouts, mechanical design schematics, and graphic presentations as needed.
- Review and revise drawings based on project updates or client feedback, maintaining accuracy throughout the project lifecycle.
Skills
- Proficiency in CAD software including AutoCAD, Revit, ArchiCAD, MicroStation, SolidWorks, Rhino 3D, Grasshopper 3D, Bluebeam, SketchUp, and 3ds Max.
- Strong experience in construction detail documentation and building code compliance.
- Expertise in 3D CAD modeling and Building Information Modeling (BIM) tools to enhance project visualization.
- Knowledge of building code analysis to ensure designs meet regulatory standards.
- Ability to interpret architectural schematics and engineering drawings with precision.
- Skilled in drafting for various disciplines such as interior design, mechanical systems, system design, and graphic presentation.
- Excellent understanding of construction processes combined with practical construction experience to inform accurate drafting.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to produce clear, comprehensive technical documents that facilitate smooth construction workflows.
