Work hours: 2pm-10pm Monday-Friday, overtime on weekends as needed.
Pay: $20.50/hour ($19 base pay + $1.50 2nd shift premium)
Description:
- Assembles components: using hand tools, power tools, or machinery, ensuring proper fit and alignment.
- Performs quality checks: to ensure products meet specifications.
- Maintains a clean and organized workspace.
- Troubleshoots and identifies issues: during the assembly process.
- Follows production schedules and procedures: to ensure not to overrun
- Communicates with other team members: to ensure smooth production flow.
- Compare Confirmation Sheets and material tickets to verify correct material is used at work stations.
- Examine material, verify parts numbers and check discrepancies such as damaged or unmarked parts.
- Ensure that parts are always properly identified with the correct part labels.
- Perform layered audit and quality checks as required.
- Monitor production flow. Track good parts, scrap and rework on tracking sheets.
- Enter quantity of good production, scrap and rework and any defect on the computer.
- Handle scrap and rework parts according to work instructions.
- Material handling functions as required. Will operate a pallet jack.
· Write production reports as needed.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment. Ensure 5-S is adhered to properly.
- Other responsibilities deemed necessary.
Job Requirements/Qualifications - (Requirements may be modified or amended for reasonable accommodations):
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED); Experience in assembling components. One year related experience or equivalent combination of training and experience preferred. Quality experience in an assembly and manufacturing environment is a plus.
- High attention to detail.
- Must be able to spot material and visual defects.
- Must be able to properly use quality gages.
- Must have basic computer skills and be able to do data entry using a computer system.
- Must have Mechanical Skills to operate equipment and hand tools.
· Frequently required to walk.
- Must be able to stand for long periods of time performing repetitive movements.
- Must be able to spot visual defects. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception.
- Occasionally required use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; squat; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk and hear effectively.
- Must be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
- Must be able to work overtime.
- While performing the duties of this job, the Associate occasionally works near moving mechanical parts. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
- Familiar with Quality Management System (QMS) for IATF requirements and Environmental Management System (EMS) for ISO 14001 (2015)
