James Walker is a global materials engineering specialist working in partnership with blue chip customers across the oil and gas, metallurgical, nuclear, biopharmaceutical, marine propulsion, aerospace and renewable energy industries.
Position Summary:
This position will be based in our Glenwood, IL office. There will be an in-office training period that will last approximately 2-3 months. At that time, this position does have the potential to transition to a hybrid setup where some in-office time may be required each week/month.
The Customer Service Representative (CSR) will work as part of a focused and successful sales/support team, providing a first point of contact for customer support, including inquiries, orders, complaints, etc.
The CSR will be responsible for building and maintaining good working relationships with our customers, understanding their business needs and addressing issues as needed with a sense of urgency and ownership.
This position will acknowledge and enter orders into system in accordance with all customer requirements, and work with various departments in order to ensure these requirements are met.
Qualifications:
This position requires a high school diploma and 2 years of relevant customer service experience. The selected candidate will demonstrate excellent communication skills, be adaptable to change, be highly motivated with the ability to confidentially deal with and overcome difficult customer situations.
Previous experience in an engineering/manufacturing environment, along with former sales training is preferred.

Pay: $20.00 - $24.00 per hour
