Job Summary
We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Medical Receptionist to join our healthcare team. In this vital role, you will serve as the first point of contact for clients and visitors, providing exceptional administrative support while ensuring smooth operations. Your enthusiasm and professionalism will help create a welcoming environment that promotes efficient patient flow and accurate record management.
Responsibilities.
- Serve as the first point of contact for patients, clients, and visitors, providing courteous, professional, and compassionate customer service.
- Verify clients' insurance coverage and perform insurance eligibility checks using systems like Epic
- Answer and direct incoming telephone calls and greet visitors in a welcoming manner.
- Schedule, confirm, and manage patient appointments using the electronic health record (EHR) system.
- Check clients in and out, verify demographic and insurance information, and assist with registration and application paperwork.
- Collect patient/client payments and maintain accurate records of transactions.
- Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA and CALC policies.
- Provide general information about CALC services and direct individuals to the appropriate program or staff member.
- Scan, file, fax, and maintain accurate administrative records.
- Coordinate communication between patients, providers, and other CALC departments to support quality care and services.
- Maintain a clean, organized reception area and assist with general front office operations.
- Participate in required trainings, staff meetings, and quality improvement activities.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Bilingual abilities are highly desirable to serve diverse patient populations
- Prior experience in medical office management or front desk operations within hospital or dental clinics is preferred

Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
