Pay increase after 6 months by 20/25 dollars, yearly bonus.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate box truck delivering Amazon pallets or carts, adhering to all DOT (Department of Transportation) and FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) regulations.
- Plan and execute over-the-road (OTR) driving routes using GPS navigation systems to optimize delivery times and fuel efficiency. HOME EVERYDAY!!!!!!!
- Load and unload freight with manual handling techniques, ensuring cargo is secured properly for transport.
- Deliver freight accurately to designated locations, managing delivery schedules and communicating proactively with owners/dispatchers.
- Maintain detailed inspection and delivery documentation in compliance with DOT regulations.
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections before and after trips to ensure truck safety and compliance with safety standards Requirements.
- Don't need a CDL but preferred, MUST have DOT card (physical from doctor), Clean driving record. Will be out just about every night for about 5/6 hours can be a little more. Plan to go back out at some point during the day to do another load. The more routes you do the more you make.
- Proven experience in truck driving, including delivery driving and route driving.
- Knowledge of FMCSA regulations, DOT regulations, and safety procedures for manual transmission vehicles.
- Ability to manually load and unload freight, some locations do it for you. Mainly will be using a pallet Jack.
- Strong navigation skills utilizing GPS systems for efficient route planning across OTR routes. Enough knowledge to know not to go under a low bridge and damage the truck. WILL BE LET GO IF SO!!!!!
- Excellent driving skills with a focus on safety, punctuality, and customer service.
- Physical ability to handle manual handling tasks and work in various weather conditions.
