About the Role:
Soil Retention Products, Inc. is seeking a self-motivated Architectural Sales/Dealer Representative to expand our footprint across Southern California. Operating from our Carlsbad, CA office, you will drive sales efforts, unlock untapped markets, and manage your territory independently within a structured framework. This role requires a proactive problem-solver who excels at managing time, processing complex product information, and delivering tailored solutions to a diverse, unique client base.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct Field Visits: Meet regularly with architects, commercial landscape contractors, residential paving contractors, and municipal agencies to cultivate strategic partnerships.
- Manage Dealer Relations: Act as the primary external point of contact to educate, support, and grow new and existing dealer networks.
- Deliver Technical Education: Train designers and contractors on product-specific construction details, installation techniques, and engineering advantages.
- Evaluate Contractor Networks: Assess and qualify existing and prospective small-to-midsize paver and retention wall contractors.
- Drive Specification Wins: Identify project opportunities through Construct Connect, tracking competitive products and successfully navigating the architectural substitution process.
- Represent the Brand: Attend key industry events, trade shows, and regional functions to build brand presence and generate leads.
- Maintain Sales Infrastructure: Keep the customer database updated and actively manage the contractor referral list to connect clients with qualified installers.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of technical or construction work experience in the hardscape industry (pavers and retaining walls)
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Ability to deliver dynamic technical presentations to dealers, contractors and design professionals.
- Capable of reading and interpreting landscape construction plans. Grading plan comprehension is preferred.
- Equipped to answer technical questions as they relate to designers and contractors.
- Learn installation methods for various applications and properly guide designers and contractors.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, with an emphasis on PowerPoint.
- Experience working in Sales Force or similar CRM applications a plus.

Pay: From $80,000.00 per year
