Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team on a part time or per diem basis with potential growth to full time. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced medical environment. Experience preferred but willing to train the right motivated candidate. Pay commensurate with experience.
Responsibilities:
- Room patients, accurately document medical history and record chief complaints
- Obtain and record detailed history of present illnesses, allergies, medications, preferred pharmacy and relevant medical information
- Assist healthcare providers during examinations
- Provide scribing support for healthcare professionals
- Prepare, clean, and maintain treatment rooms ensuring they are well-stocked
- Perform a variety of clerical tasks including managing phone calls, emails, and faxes
- Process prior authorizations and prescription refills efficiently
- Familiarity with medical administrative support tasks is beneficial
- Utilize electronic medical record software effectively for documentation purposes
Qualifications:
- Certification as a Medical Assistant is preferred but we are willing to train the right motivated individual
- Proficiency in using EMA software or similar electronic health record systems is desirable but will train the right person

- Strong attention to detail, reliability and responsibility are essential qualities for this role
