Schedule:
Mon-Fri: 7 am to 4 pm
Mon-Thurs: 11 am to 9 pm
Duties:
- Leading production and sanitation teams while coordinating with support functions ensuring an effective and efficient production operation at all times.
- Continuously improving production standards, practices and systems, reducing labor cost and material waste and improving quality.
- Accountable for leading succession planning, training and development of Team Leaders and Team Members to continuously improve skill levels and competencies of teams.
- Effectively planning, scheduling and allocating labor. Continuous communication with Planning to ensure the most effective production plan is maintained while meeting demand.
- Observes and enforces safety rules and safe work practices. Identify and address unsafe working conditions and unsafe practices and actions to prevent accidents and safety incidents.
- Responsible for maintaining safe and quality food by following Good Manufacturing Practices, allergen controls, food defense, HACCP and SQF requirements.
- Managing work orders, communicate with scheduling and identify and in time resolve potential constraints.
- In collaboration with Planning, ensure the most cost effective production schedules are developed ensuring on-time delivery of quality product at all times.
- Managing resources effectively to ensure production schedule is produced in full on time.
- Report on shift performance on a daily, weekly and monthly basis.
- Documents to-do lists and action plans and leave a clear paper trail that others can easily follow.
Qualifications:
- Management experience.
- Ability to communicate effectively through oral and written communications.
- Ability to analyze and solve problems.
- Ability to work with others collaboratively.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Ability to teach, coach, and mentor team members.
- Food manufacturing experience. Lean manufacturing and continual process improvement experience.
