Duties
- Lead and supervise the entire kitchen team, fostering a positive and productive work environment through effective team management and leadership.
- Oversee menu planning, ensuring a diverse selection that meets quality standards and customer preferences while controlling food costs.
- Manage food production processes, including food preparation, cooking, plating, and presentation to uphold high standards of quality and consistency.
- Ensure compliance with food safety sanitizing procedures, hygiene regulations, and health codes to maintain a safe kitchen environment.
- Coordinate inventory management and control to minimize waste, monitor stock levels, and order supplies efficiently.
- Supervise catering operations and banquet services, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality dishes for events of varying sizes.
- Implement cost control measures while maintaining excellent service quality; analyze sales data to optimize menu offerings and profitability.
- Oversee shift management by scheduling staff effectively to meet operational demands during busy periods.
- Maintain detailed records of food handling procedures, safety protocols, and sanitation practices.
- Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless food service experiences that exceed guest expectations.
Experience
- Proven experience in food production, kitchen management, or restaurant leadership within a fast-paced hospitality environment.
- Extensive banquet experience with a strong background in catering for large events or functions.
- Supervising experience managing teams of cooks, servers, or culinary staff in a high-volume setting.
- Demonstrated expertise in fine dining cuisine preparation and presentation.
- Knowledge of inventory control systems and food safety sanitizing procedures essential for maintaining compliance standards.
- Strong background in menu planning, cost control, and managing food service operations effectively.
- Experience working within the food industry with a focus on hospitality or restaurant management roles.
- Familiarity with dietary department requirements and accommodating special dietary needs is advantageous.
