Century Group is partnering with a client that is seeking a Controller to join their team. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. Expected starting base salary of $150,000 to $170,000 per year.
Oversee general accounting operations by reviewing transactions, maintaining accurate records, and supporting timely financial reporting.
Manage the close process by supervising reconciliations, journal entries, and financial statement preparation.
Provide oversight for payables and receivables functions and assist with resolving operational issues.
Support tax related activities by coordinating documentation, schedules, and reporting requirements.
Drive process improvements and collaborate with teams to enhance systems, controls, and reporting efficiency.
A Bachelor degree's in accounting, finance, or a related field.
At least 7+ years of progressive experience in accounting, including leadership responsibilities.
Strong understanding of accounting standards and financial reporting processes.
Previous experience working with general ledger, reconciliations, and financial controls.
Proficiency with accounting systems and advanced Excel skills.
Certified public accountant credential.
Proven leadership experience with the ability to manage and develop accounting staff.
Strong analytical and problem solving skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
Effective communication skills for interacting with internal teams and stakeholders.
Previous experience in multi entity or industry specific environments such as real estate or construction.
