Step into an opportunity to support students in the Albany, OR region as a contract Occupational Therapist for the upcoming 2026-2027 school year. In this vital role, you'll serve K-12 students, including early intervention and ECSE populations, across the Newport and Toledo areas, with the chance to work on an itinerant basis and provide both direct and consultative services. This is a full-time position, working 37.5 hours each week, with core hours from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm PST.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Active Oregon OT license (or ability to obtain before start)
- Experience in school-based OT roles—new graduates are encouraged to apply
- Ability to handle a consultative caseload in the 60s, primarily driven by IEP needs
- Proficiency in conducting assessments, case management, IEP writing, and service delivery
- Strong communication skills for collaborating with educational teams and families
- Willingness to travel within assigned areas for in-person services
- Comfortable working independently and adapting to varying school environments
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide a blend of direct and indirect OT services for students K-12, as well as early intervention populations
- Manage assigned caseload efficiently, attend all relevant IEP and team meetings, and complete necessary evaluations
- Develop, implement, and monitor individualized occupational therapy interventions, both in-person and consultatively
- Uphold professional documentation standards within the district’s IEP system (with training provided)
- Collaborate with diverse teams and contribute to a supportive environment known for manageable workloads and robust district support
