Job Summary
Join our team as a Server/Barista, where your energy and passion for exceptional customer service will create memorable experiences for our guests. In this dynamic role, you will craft delicious beverages, serve food with enthusiasm, and ensure every visitor feels welcomed and valued. Your ability to multitask, maintain cleanliness, and handle transactions accurately will contribute to a lively and efficient café environment. We are looking for team members 21 or over as part of the position involves serving alcohol and preparing some mixed drinks. We are looking to add to our team immediately. Pay is based on experience. We have flexible scheduling with rotating weekends as needed.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a variety of non-alcoholic or alcoholic beverages, including coffee, tea, and specialty drinks, ensuring quality and presentation standards are met.
- Take customer orders accurately using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Toast POS, process cash and card transactions efficiently, and handle retail sales transactions with professionalism.
- Serve food items promptly and courteously, maintaining food safety standards and proper food handling procedures.
- Maintain cleanliness of the café area, including counters, tables, equipment, and beverage stations, adhering to health regulations.
- Engage with customers to provide excellent service, answer questions about menu items, and promote daily specials or new products.
- Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure quick turnaround times without compromising quality.
- Assist in inventory management by restocking supplies and ensuring all equipment is functioning properly.
- Prepare alcoholic drinks up to standard following all state laws and regulations. We will provide training and state certified alcohol training and license.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food service or café environments is preferred; barista or bar tending experience is a plus.
- Familiarity with Toast POS system is a plus
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with diverse guests.
- Basic math skills for cash handling and processing transactions accurately.
- Knowledge of food safety practices and proper food handling procedures.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail.
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks during peak hours.
Pay: $15.50 - $17.00 per hour
