Duties
- Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical issues across diverse vehicle systems using advanced automotive diagnostic tools and schematics.
- Repair and replace electrical components including wiring harnesses, sensors, modules, and control units to restore vehicle functionality.
- Interpret automotive wiring diagrams and schematics to accurately identify problem areas within complex electrical circuits.
- Conduct repairs on vehicle transmission systems, powertrain components, suspension systems, and ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) to ensure optimal operation.
- Perform vehicle maintenance tasks such as alignments, wheel balancing, and suspension system repairs with precision.
- Utilize hand tools and power tools efficiently for repairs while adhering to safety standards and best practices.
- Provide excellent customer service by explaining repair procedures clearly and ensuring customer satisfaction throughout the service process.
Requirements
- Proven dealership or service technician experience working with automotive electrical systems, preferably with GM or similar vehicles.
- Strong knowledge of automotive diagnostics, schematics interpretation, and electrical troubleshooting techniques.
- Hands-on experience with automotive wiring diagram interpretation, ADAS calibration, and vehicle transmission system repair.
- Mechanical knowledge combined with familiarity in vehicle maintenance including diesel engine repair, powertrain work, and suspension system repairs.
- Proficiency in using automotive diagnostic tools such as scan tools, multimeters, oscilloscopes, and other electronic testing equipment.
- Ability to read technical manuals and schematics accurately while applying mechanical skills effectively.
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate with team members and provide top-tier customer service.
- Valid mechanic experience with a focus on automotive electrical systems; additional certifications or training are a plus.
