Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Commercial Plumber to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining plumbing systems in commercial buildings, ensuring compliance with safety standards and local building codes. This role offers an opportunity to work on diverse projects, utilizing a broad range of technical skills to deliver high-quality plumbing solutions. Responsibilities
- Install, repair, and maintain complex plumbing systems in commercial properties, including water supply, drainage, and waste systems.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to ensure accurate installation and repairs.
- Use hand tools, power tools, pipe threading equipment, and plumbing inspection cameras effectively on job sites.
- Conduct plumbing system inspections to identify issues and perform necessary repairs or replacements.
- Ensure all work complies with local building codes, safety regulations, and industry standards.
- Operate construction site equipment safely and efficiently while managing heavy lifting tasks.
- Collaborate with project managers, electricians, HVAC technicians, and other trades to coordinate installation activities.
- Perform remodeling and remodeling-related plumbing tasks as required for renovation projects.
- Maintain accurate documentation of work performed and materials used for each project.
- Utilize basic math skills for measurements, calculations, and schematics interpretation.
- Drive commercial vehicles responsibly to transport tools and materials between sites.
Skills
- Extensive construction experience with a focus on commercial plumbing projects.
- Proficiency in construction plumbing techniques including pipe threading, assembly, and system maintenance.
- Ability to operate welding equipment safely when required for specialized tasks.
- Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, plumbing inspection cameras, and other relevant equipment.
- Strong knowledge of local building codes related to plumbing installations and repairs.
- Mechanical aptitude with understanding of water systems, HVAC integration, and schematics.
- Experience interpreting technical drawings such as blueprints and schematics accurately.
- Familiarity with plumbing system inspection procedures and troubleshooting methods.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining attention to detail.
- Basic math skills for measurements, calculations, and interpreting technical data.
- Carpentry skills useful for remodeling projects or structural adjustments.
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) preferred for site transportation needs.
- Handyman experience or general assembly skills beneficial for versatile project support.
