Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled CNC Programmer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in CNC programming and machining processes, with the ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications. Duties
- Develop and optimize CNC programs for various machining operations.
- Utilize CAM programming software to create efficient machining paths.
- Interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine machining requirements.
- Conduct setup and calibration of CNC machines, ensuring proper tooling and fixtures are in place.
- Perform quality checks using coordinate measuring machines (CMM) and bore gauges to ensure adherence to specifications.
- Apply GD&T principles to maintain accuracy and consistency in production.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to troubleshoot issues and implement improvements.
- Maintain documentation of programming changes, setups, and inspections.
Skills
- Proficiency in CNC programming with experience in electrical discharge machining (EDM) preferred.
- Familiarity with CAM programming software and SolidWorks for design integration.
- Strong mathematical skills for calculations related to machining processes.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical documents accurately.
- Knowledge of coordinate measuring machines (CMM) for quality assurance purposes.
- Understanding of GD&T principles to ensure compliance with industry standards.
- Experience with bore gauges and other precision measuring tools is advantageous.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
