Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality dental care to our patients, ensuring their comfort and satisfaction while promoting good oral health practices. This role requires a thorough understanding of dental hygiene procedures, patient assessment, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced dental office environment.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including reviewing medical histories and performing oral examinations.
- Provide preventive dental care, including cleanings, scaling, and polishing teeth.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene techniques and the importance of maintaining good dental health.
- Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as needed.
- Record vital signs and maintain accurate patient records using Dentrix or similar dental software systems.
- Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment in accordance with infection control protocols.
- Stay updated on the latest advancements in dental hygiene practices and technologies.
Experience
- Proven experience as a Dental Hygienist in a clinical setting is preferred.
- Familiarity with general dentistry practices and dental terminology is essential.
- Knowledge of medical terminology is a plus.
- Proficiency in using Dentrix or similar dental office management software is highly desirable.
- Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with patients and team members.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment while demonstrating professionalism at all times.
