Pi Dental Center located in Fort Washington, PA is currently accepting applications for a part time dental hygienist. Candidate initially needed Thursdays from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30p.m. with the possibility of adding Monday hours.
Pi Dental Center is a Prosthodontic office specializing in dental implants and advanced restorative dentistry.
Dental Hygienist Job Responsibilities:
- Promotes dental health by completing dental prophylaxis, providing oral cancer screening and radiographic studies.
- Educates patients by giving oral hygiene and plaque control instructions and postoperative instructions
- Application of preventatives.
- Documents dental hygiene services by charting in patient records.
- Prepares treatment room for patient by adhering to prescribed procedures and protocols.
- Greets and dismisses patients.
- Provides information to patients and employees by answering questions and requests.
- Maintains instrumentation for dental hygiene treatment by sharpening, sterilizing, and selecting instruments.
- Schedules patient for next dental hygiene visit.
- Performs all duties in accordance with HIPPA, OSHA and office policies.
- Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
- Adheres to infection-control policies and protocols.
Requirements:
- State-Registered Dental Hygienist
- CPR certification
- Prosthodontic experience a plus but not required.
