In this dynamic role, you’ll craft delicious beverages, deliver exceptional customer service, help create some of our exclusive "gotta have one more" food items, and ensure a welcoming environment that keeps customers coming back. This cafe is truly a diamond in the rough, a unique wonder in the South Florida corporate coffee scene. We are looking for an experienced barista who is looking to grow and truly become a pilar in what we have built, turning 419 Café into the go-to location for the best coffee and delicious food in Florida!
Duties
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee drinks, teas, and specialty beverages with precision and flair
- Greet customers with a smile every time, take their orders accurately, and provide friendly, attentive service throughout their visit
- Operate POS systems such as Toast to process transactions efficiently and accurately
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café area, including food handling and food safety standards
- Manage cash handling responsibilities with accuracy, including cashiering and basic math calculations for transactions
- Assist in food preparation and serving pastries, lunch items, and other meals as needed
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and proper food handling procedures at all times
Skills
- Proven experience as a barista and/or in the food service industry with strong coffee knowledge
- Familiarity with POS systems like Toast for smooth transaction processing
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with diverse guests
- Strong time management skills to handle busy periods efficiently without compromising quality
- Ability to perform retail math, cash handling, and cashiering accurately
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling techniques
- Effective communication skills to work seamlessly within a team environment
- Ability to be trusted with the responsibility of leading efficiently and positively
