- Communicate effectively with pet owners about grooming needs, special instructions, and aftercare advice
- Stay updated on grooming techniques, pet health trends, and safety protocols to provide top-quality service
Qualifications
- Proven experience in pet grooming or related animal care roles such as veterinary technician or assistant
- Strong dog handling skills with knowledge of animal restraint techniques
- Familiarity with pet training methods and veterinary procedures is a plus
- Ability to lift heavy objects (heavy lifting) such as grooming equipment or large pets safely and confidently
- Excellent customer service skills to build trust and rapport with pet owners
- Experience working with animals in settings like kennels, veterinary clinics, or equine environments is advantageous
- Basic understanding of animal behavior and handling diverse breeds and sizes effectively
