Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Custodian to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining cleanliness and orderliness in our facilities, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for all. This position requires a proactive approach to custodial duties, with an emphasis on quality, precision, and efficiency. MUST BE ABLE TO PASS A BACKGROUND CHECK!
Duties
- Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and vacuuming of various surfaces
- Maintain floors through appropriate floor care techniques such as buffing and polishing
- Need to know how to run a walk-behind floor scrubber
- Conduct custodial duties in commercial settings, ensuring high standards of cleanliness are met
- Execute industrial cleaning procedures when required to maintain safety and hygiene standards
- Manage waste disposal and recycling efforts effectively
- Collaborate with team members to ensure all areas are clean and well-maintained
- Respond promptly to cleaning emergencies or special requests from management or staff
Skills
- Reliable
- Able to proficiently follow directives from Supervisor
- Proficient in various cleaning techniques including buffing and floor care
- Experience in custodial work, particularly in commercial or industrial environments is preferred
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain daily cleaning routines.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively
- Familiarity with safety protocols related to cleaning supplies and equipment usage
