We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented QuickBooks Accountant to join our finance team! Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day bookkeeping activities using QuickBooks Online and desktop versions, ensuring all transactions are accurately recorded with proper debits and credits.
- Perform bank reconciliations, balance sheet reconciliations, and account reconciliations to maintain financial accuracy.
- Handle accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, ensuring timely payments and collections while maintaining vendor relationships.
- Prepare journal entries, general ledger entries, and financial reports that adhere to GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and relevant accounting standards.
- Utilize various financial software such as Sage, Xero, Quicken, and other accounting systems to streamline operations.
- Assist with budgeting processes, financial report writing, and technical accounting tasks related to double-entry bookkeeping.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a bookkeeper or accountant with strong proficiency in QuickBooks Online and QuickBooks Desktop.
- Solid understanding of corporate accounting practices, accounting procedures, and public accounting standards.
- Familiarity with other financial software including Sage, Xero, and Quicken is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of GAAP guidelines, general ledger accounting, bank reconciliation techniques, and account reconciliation processes.
- Ability to perform detailed account analysis using spreadsheets and other financial tools with high accuracy.
- Strong technical skills in accounting systems combined with excellent organizational skills; proficiency in 10 key typing is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills to clearly explain financial concepts and collaborate effectively within teams.
