American Traveler is hiring an RN for a PACU position requiring a KY or compact RN license and BLS certification, with new grads welcome to apply.

Work in the Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) of a hospital setting
-
Care for patients immediately following surgical or procedural interventions requiring anesthesia
-
Monitor patients during the initial recovery period and address potential complications
-
3rd shift schedule, Thursday-Saturday 7p-7a
-
36 hours per week, 12-hour shifts, 3 days per week
-
Active, unrestricted RN license (KY or compact) required
-
BLS certification required
-
ACLS certification required
-
Annual Dysrhythmia Competency Validation required
-
ADN or ASN required; BSN preferred
-
No prior nursing experience required, though previous experience is preferred

Perform comprehensive patient assessments and document in accordance with RN scope of practice and hospital policies
-
Facilitate admission, transfer, and discharge activities including discharge teaching and coordination with case management
-
Provide patient and family-centered education and individualized treatment planning
-
Collaborate with inter-professional team members and delegate tasks appropriately
-
Participate in unit-based quality improvement activities such as monitoring patient satisfaction, falls, and pressure ulcers
