Job Title: Plant Supervisor (Bilingual – English/Spanish Required)

Position Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Plant Supervisor to oversee daily production operations and lead our production team. The ideal candidate will ensure efficient, safe, and high-quality production while driving performance improvements and maintaining strong communication across departments. This role requires strong leadership skills, proficiency in Microsoft Excel, and bilingual fluency in English and Spanish.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and supervise production staff including supervisors, line workers, runners, and support personnel on a daily basis
- Plan, coordinate, and ensure execution of daily production schedules
- Oversee all production facility operations to ensure efficiency, safety, and compliance with company standards
- Assign tasks and monitor employee performance, productivity, and adherence to procedures and safety practices
- Track and analyze production KPIs, including:
- Efficiency
- Cycle Time
- Unit Labor Cost
- Production Attainment
- Changeover Time
- Calculate labor costs for new product developments
- Perform material planning and ingredient allocation for production (including customer-specific programs)
- Develop daily production projections and forecasts
- Provide and coordinate employee training programs, including:
- GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices)
- SQF (Safe Quality Food) standards
- Safety policies and procedures
- New employee onboarding
- Emergency and evacuation training
- Print and manage production labels (use-by dates and product labeling)
- Coach, mentor, and address employee performance and behavioral issues as needed
- Communicate production issues to management, including material shortages, staffing concerns, equipment issues, and operational challenges
- Collaborate with purchasing and sales teams to adjust production needs and manage supply levels
- Report material deficiencies and coordinate with suppliers as needed
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a Plant Supervisor or in a similar manufacturing/production leadership role
- Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (required) for reporting, tracking KPIs, and data analysis
- Bilingual in English and Spanish (required)
- Knowledge of food production processes, GMP, and SQF standards preferred
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities
- Strong communication skills and attention to detail
