Duties
- Prepare ingredients and components for menu items with precision and efficiency, ensuring consistency and quality
- Assist in cooking and plating dishes according to established recipes and standards
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, including food prep areas, utensils, and equipment
- Follow food safety protocols and proper food handling procedures at all times
- Support menu planning efforts by preparing ingredients in advance for upcoming service periods
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely meal preparation and service delivery
- Assist with catering orders and special event meal preparations as needed
Experience
- Previous kitchen experience in a restaurant, catering, or food industry setting is highly preferred
- Experience working in dietary departments or as a dietary aide is a plus
- Strong knife skills and familiarity with various cooking techniques are essential
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling practices is required
- Experience with meal preparation, food service, and food industry operations will help you succeed
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Familiarity with menu planning, food presentation, and catering processes is advantageous
Pay: $17.00 - $19.00 per hour
