About the Role
Lakay Assisted Living is seeking a compassionate and reliable Healthcare Personal Care Assistant / Activities & Administrative Support staff member to join our small assisted living facility in Germantown, Maryland.

You will support residents with daily care, engage them in meaningful activities, and assist with basic administrative and operational tasks.
What You’ll Do
Resident Care (Caregiver / CNA Support Duties)
- Assist residents with ADLs (activities of daily living), including mobility support, supervision, and light personal care assistance
- Provide companionship and emotional support to seniors and elderly residents
- Assist residents during meals (setup, encouragement, light assistance)
- Observe and report changes in condition to nursing or management staff
Activities & Engagement (Activities Assistant Duties)
- Lead or assist with senior activities such as bingo, trivia, crafts, music, games, and cognitive stimulation
- Support resident engagement and social interaction
- Assist with holiday events, birthday parties, and themed activities
- Provide technology assistance (phones, music, video calls)
- Assist with gardening, walks, and recreational programs
Administrative & Office Support (Healthcare Office Assistant Duties)
- Assist with email communication and office support tasks
- Support onboarding and orientation for new staff
- Assist with inventory tracking and supply management
- Support compliance documentation, audits, and quality assurance processes
- Help maintain organized records and assist management with follow-up tasks
Available Shifts (Part-Time Flexible Schedule)
- Day Shift: 7:00 AM – 11:00 AM
- Midday Shift: 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM
- Evening Shift: 3:00 PM – 7:00 PM
- Weekend shifts available
- Flexible scheduling (a few hours per shift, a few days per week)
Pay & Compensation
$17.00 – $21.00 per hour
Requirements / Qualifications
- Compassionate, patient, and respectful toward older adults
- Strong communication skills and teamwork mindset
- Reliable and punctual (important for healthcare staffing coverage)
- Ability to work in a senior care, assisted living, or caregiving environment
- Basic computer/email skills (for administrative support tasks)
- Ability to multitask in a healthcare + activities setting
Preferred Keywords Experience (Not Required):
- CNA (Certified Nursing Assistant)
- GNA (Geriatric Nursing Assistant – Maryland)
- Caregiver / Home Health Aide (HHA)
- Assisted living or nursing home experience
- Activities assistant or recreational aide
- Office assistant or administrative support
