Responsibilities
- Effectively locate and serve legal documents to individuals or organizations in accordance with legal requirements.
- Follow proper procedures for serving documents, including filing necessary reports and documentation of each service attempt.
- Maintain clear and detailed records of all served documents, including dates, times, locations, and recipient information.
- Use courier skills to navigate assigned routes efficiently, ensuring timely deliveries across designated areas.
- Communicate professionally with clients, attorneys, and recipients to coordinate service attempts and confirm receipt.
- Conduct follow-up visits or calls if initial service attempts are unsuccessful, employing persistence and tact.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and company policies related to process serving.
Skills
- Proven experience as a courier or in a similar delivery role demonstrating reliability and punctuality.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously while maintaining accuracy.
- Excellent communication skills to interact professionally with diverse individuals during service attempts.
- Knowledge of filing procedures related to legal documentation and court processes.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while adhering to strict deadlines.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; familiarity with local routes is a plus.
- High level of integrity, discretion, and attention to detail when handling sensitive information.
