Keyrenter Northwest Chicago Property Management is seeking a reliable and skilled Handyman/Maintenance Technician to support our growing portfolio of residential rental properties throughout the Northwest Chicago suburbs.

What You'll Do
- Start your day from home with a pre-planned schedule.
- Complete 3–5 jobs daily at homes, apartments, and townhomes.
- Perform general maintenance and repairs, including drywall, painting, carpentry, door/hardware repairs, minor plumbing, and minor electrical work.
- Diagnose issues and provide repair estimates.
- Use our maintenance platform to document work, upload photos, and communicate repair recommendations.
- Coordinate with tenants to schedule approved repairs.
- Obtain owner approvals when required.
- Accompany municipal inspectors and document required corrections.
- Serve as our eyes and ears in the field by identifying concerns before they become larger issues.
Qualifications
- Prior handyman, maintenance, construction, or residential repair experience.
- Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and your own tools.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Comfortable using mobile apps and software for work orders and documentation.
- Professionalism when interacting with tenants, owners, and team members.
Schedule
- Part-time or full-time depending on workload.
- Daytime availability required.
- Flexibility to work occasional evenings (up to 8:00 PM) and weekends is preferred.
- Work assigned through Keyrenter must be prioritized.
Compensation & Benefits
- $30–$40/hour for inspections, estimates, tenant coordination, and administrative maintenance activities.
- Additional compensation for approved repair work performed.
- Performance-based bonus opportunities.
