Job Overview
We are seeking energetic and detail-oriented Metal Stud Framers and Drywall Installers. In this role, you will be responsible for framing structures with metal studs and installing drywall to create smooth, durable interior surfaces. Duties
- Measure and interpret construction plans, schematics, and technical drawings to accurately frame structures using metal studs.
- Install drywall panels securely on walls and ceilings, ensuring proper alignment and finish quality.
- Use hand tools and power tools such as drills, saws, screw guns, and levels to cut, shape, and assemble framing components.
- Perform heavy lifting of materials like metal framing material, drywall sheets, and insulation materials safely and efficiently.
- Apply finishing techniques including taping, mudding, sanding, and plastering to achieve a smooth surface ready for painting or other finishes.
- Read blueprints and schematics to determine dimensions and layout for framing and drywall placement.
Requirements
- Proven experience in metal stud framing, drywall installation, or related construction roles.
- Familiarity with construction plans, technical drawings, and schematics.
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, tape measures, and basic math skills for dimensional measurements.
- Knowledge of construction safety protocols including heavy equipment operation when applicable.
- Ability to perform physical tasks involving heavy lifting and working at heights or in confined spaces.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent problem-solving skills for interpreting technical drawings accurately.
- Construction site experience with a focus on framing or drywall work is highly preferred; certifications in related trades are a plus.
- Bilingual a plus-- but must speak english
Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
