About Us
Click Storage operates 25 self-storage facilities across Oklahoma, Missouri, and Kansas. We are seeking a dependable, detail-oriented Facility Caretaker to maintain a facility near South East Oklahoma City.
The Role
This is a part-time, independent contractor position expected to require 5–10 hours per week. Work can largely be completed on your own schedule as long as tasks are finished on time. This is an independent role — no customer-facing sales or service interactions are required.
Responsibilities
Facility Maintenance & Cleanliness
- Keep grounds free of debris, trash, and abandoned materials
- Ensure lighting, gates, and roll-up doors are functioning properly and report issues promptly
- Complete light repairs (door latch replacement, light bulb replacement, power resets, etc.)
- Report any unsafe conditions or defective equipment to management immediately
- Complete a weekly facility audit using manager-provided digital forms
- Complete weekly lock audits recording unit status
- Submit operational reports as requested by management
Unit Readiness
- Clean vacated units and prepare them for future rentals per manager-provided make-ready lists
- Place and remove overlocks per manager direction
- Assist with photographing and preparing units for auction
Vendor & Tenant Support
- Provide on-site access and oversight for vendors performing camera, electrical, gate, and security system work
- Coordinate with the Operations Director, Customer Support staff, and Maintenance Coordinator to resolve tenant issues
- Ensure all contracted vendors complete work to Click Storage standards
Who You Are
- Strong attention to detail with pride in your work
- Comfortable with a mix of physical tasks and light administrative responsibilities
- Reliable — you deliver on time, every time
- Communicates clearly with both written and verbal conversation
- Proficient with Google Sheets and able to learn mobile apps (ClickUp, Slack) on an iPhone
- At least 1 year of maintenance or property-related experience
Physical Requirements
- Able to traverse the full property and facility on foot
- Can climb ladders, bend, and perform minor repairs or cleaning as needed
- Able to operate small equipment (weed wacker, leaf blower, shovel, etc.)
- Able to lift up-to 30 pounds
