Duties and Responsibilities
MUST BE 23 OR OLDER TO QUALIFY DUE TO INSURANCE LIMITATIONS.
Must pass a background check and drivers license check
Carry a valid Texas drivers license at all times
Picks up route sheets and meals for assigned dining sites and homebound
Pick up meals and deliver them to the assigned dining site and the homebound
At the end of the day, clean and sterilize food containers
Daily vehicle maintenance includes checking the oil level and transmission fluid
Keep the interior of the vehicle clean and sanitized
Keep exterior of vehicle clean (use local car wash)
Maintain a daily mileage and maintenance record of the vehicle
Do any task as requested
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
ALL Weather Conditions,
This is a high-paced position that requires speed and efficiency
Driving a vehicle through traffic and in all weather conditions
You may be exposed to pets
PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Describe the amount & frequency of physical requirements of the position (i.e. lifting, pushing, climbing)
Not required to lift over 50 pounds
Load and unload coolers full of meals, ice, milk, etc.
Must have a valid Texas drivers license at all times
Must be trained in Defensive Driving, CPR, and First Aid (training is available at no expense to driver)
Must have human relations skills and the ability to relate to people of all races, colors, creeds, and origins
Must be able to relate to senior citizens and be aware of their special needs
Must present a good example through actions and appearance
Must be able to work in a structured team environment and be willing to be a team member
Must have no more than “1” traffic violation in 18 months
Must not have any “A” violations (DUI, operating a vehicle during a period of suspension or revocation)
