Job Overview
We are seeking an Arkansas-licensed Pharmacist for a flexible PRN/Per Diem opportunity at a behavioral health facility in Fayetteville, Arkansas.
This position is ideal for a pharmacist looking for limited weekend commitments with the opportunity for additional coverage when needed. The pharmacist will provide medication management and pharmacy services for adolescent and adult behavioral health patients.
Schedule
- Approximately 1 weekend per month
- Initial coverage: August 22–23, 2026
- Saturday–Sunday: 8:00 AM–12:00 PM
- Weekend on-call coverage: 12:00 PM–8:00 AM the following day
- Additional weekday coverage may be available for Director of Pharmacy PTO
- Weekday coverage, when needed: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:00 PM
- Additional holiday and weekend dates may be requested based on facility needs
- Mandatory orientation: August 10–11, 2026
- Pharmacy training: 3 weekdays during the week of August 17
Responsibilities
- Review and process medication orders
- Fill and dispense medications accurately and efficiently
- Deliver medications to medication rooms
- Maintain Omnicell and floor stock
- Review patient clinical information and medication orders
- Identify potential drug-drug interactions and other medication-related concerns
- Communicate with physicians regarding patient treatment plans
- Answer medication-related questions from nurses, physicians, patients, and other clinical staff
- Provide safe and appropriate pharmaceutical care
- Work independently during weekend coverage, as there is no pharmacy technician support on weekends
Requirements
- Active Arkansas Pharmacist license required
- Prior inpatient or retail pharmacy experience preferred
- Behavioral health pharmacy experience is a plus
- Ability to work independently
- Strong communication and clinical judgment skills
- Omnicell experience preferred, but training is available
- HCS order-entry experience preferred, but training is available
