HR Field Operations Coordinator
Cobblestone Fruit is seeking a proactive, organized, and employee-focused HR Field Operations Coordinator to serve as the primary liaison between Human Resources and farming operations. Reporting to the Human Resources Department, this role provides visible field support to employees and supervisors while coordinating HR initiatives that promote employee engagement, compliance, operational consistency, and workforce effectiveness. The HR Field Operations Coordinator supports employees throughout the employment lifecycle by assisting with onboarding, employee relations, timekeeping and payroll processes, policy implementation, return-to-work programs, and other HR services. Through a strong field presence, this position builds trusted relationships with employees and leaders while helping improve communication, compliance, and overall operational performance.
Duties/Responsibilities
Employee Experience & Onboarding
· Coordinate the employee experience throughout the first 30 days of employment.
· Conduct onboarding follow-up visits and serve as a resource for new employees.
· Assist employees in understanding company policies, procedures, benefits, and available resources.
· Identify onboarding concerns and coordinate appropriate follow-up with Human Resources.
· Support employee engagement initiatives designed to improve retention and workplace satisfaction.
· Assist with orientation sessions and new hire integration activities.
HR Field Operations Support
· Serve as Human Resources' visible representative throughout operational departments.
· Develop positive working relationships with employees, supervisors, and managers.
· Respond to routine employee questions while referring complex matters to Human Resources leadership.
· Promote consistent application of company policies and HR procedures.
· Identify workplace concerns and proactively communicate trends to HR leadership.
· Support implementation of company initiatives across operational departments.
Timekeeping & Payroll Support
· Assist with timecard collection, review, and submission.
· Monitor timecards and support California wage and hour compliance by reviewing entries, identifying discrepancies, and coordinating timely resolution with Payroll and Operations.
· Provide support to employees and supervisors with UKG and other timekeeping systems.
· Assist employees with direct deposit, address changes, PSL requests, time-off requests, and general payroll inquiries.
· Coordinate routine payroll and employee record updates with HR and Payroll.
Attendance Administration
· Monitor attendance trends and prepare documentation supporting attendance coaching and corrective action in partnership with HR leadership.
Policy Administration & Compliance
· Coordinate implementation of new and revised company policies.
· Facilitate employee acknowledgments and required compliance documentation.
· Coordinate policy retraining initiatives.
· Assist with audits, inspections, and compliance reporting.
Employee Relations Support
· Receive employee concerns, complaints, and workplace issues professionally and confidentially.
· Conduct preliminary fact-finding and partner with senior HR leadership on next steps.
· Support timely resolution of workplace concerns.
Return-to-Work & Safety Coordination
· Coordinate temporary modified-duty assignments under HR and Safety direction.
· Serve as communication bridge between HR, Safety, Payroll, employees, supervisors, and temporary assignment managers.
· Monitor adherence to work restrictions and support workers' compensation and IIPP processes.
HR Administrative Support
· Maintain employee records and HR documentation.
· Coordinate HR forms, meetings, training sessions, and communications.
· Support HR projects, HRIS updates, and department initiatives.
· Maintain strict confidentiality.
Operational Partnership
· Maintain regular visibility throughout operations.
· Strengthen communication between HR and Operations.
· Support workforce initiatives and organizational improvements.
HR Metrics & Continuous Improvement
· Monitor HR operational metrics including onboarding completion, policy acknowledgment compliance, timecard submission timeliness, attendance trends, and modified-duty follow-up.
· Identify process improvement opportunities and recommend solutions that improve efficiency, compliance, payroll accuracy, and employee experience.
· Assist HR leadership with implementing continuous improvement initiatives across HR and Operations.
Qualifications/Requirements

· Three (3) years of HR coordinator, employee relations, payroll support, or operations coordination experience; agriculture, food production, or manufacturing preferred.
· Associate's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
· Bilingual English/Spanish required.
· Working knowledge of California labor laws, including wage and hour compliance.
· Experience with UKG or similar HRIS/timekeeping systems preferred.
· Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment.
· Strong interpersonal, organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
· Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
· Self-motivated with a continuous improvement mindset.
· Physical Demands & Abilities
· Ability to remain seated and work at a computer for extended periods, with frequent use of hands and fingers for typing, writing, and operating office equipment.
· Ability to occasionally stand, walk, bend, stoop, and reach while performing job duties in office, warehouse, and field environments.
· Ability to safely lift, carry, push, or move materials and equipment weighing up to 30 pounds using proper body mechanics and ergonomic techniques.
· Capability to travel between office, production, and agricultural field locations as needed, including navigating uneven terrain and varying environmental conditions.
· Ability to perform duties on-site in packinghouse and agricultural settings, which may include exposure to varying temperatures, noise levels, and outdoor elements.
· Visual acuity sufficient to read detailed documents, computer screens, and observe workplace conditions, employee activities, and equipment during inspections or investigations.

Pay: $24.00 - $28.00 per hour
