Title: Contract Respiratory Therapist (RT)
Schedule: 12-hour Day and Night shifts available; 36 hours/week guaranteed
Assignment Length: 14-week contract (with possible extension)
Pay Schedule: Weekly direct deposit (Fridays)
Pay Rate: $51.90/hour

Wesley Medical Staffing is actively seeking a skilled and compassionate Contract Respiratory Therapist (RT) to join our growing healthcare team in Norfolk, VA
Respiratory Therapist (RT) Responsibilities:
- Evaluate and treat patients with acute and chronic respiratory conditions.
- Administer oxygen therapy, nebulizers, bronchodilators, and chest physiotherapy.
- Operate and manage ventilators, CPAP, and BiPAP machines.
- Perform arterial blood gas (ABG) analysis and interpret results.
- Assist in emergency airway management and resuscitation procedures.
- Educate patients and families on respiratory therapy techniques and disease management.
- Maintain compliance with infection control and patient safety protocols.
Respiratory Therapist (RT) Requirements:
- Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Therapy program.
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) from the NBRC.
- Active Respiratory Therapist License
- Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS (as required per facility).
- Minimum 3+ months experience in respiratory therapy
- Willingness to undergo a standard background check and required medical compliance screenings.
