Creative Dance Center is a successful dance studio in South Riding (Chantilly), VA, offering all levels of classes from beginner to pre-professional in contemporary, hip hop, jazz, ballet, tap and acrobatic arts.
We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated instructor to teach beginning ballet technique classes to our competitive team students (ages 6-10) and a Ballet/Jazz recital class for ages 5-7 part time during weekday afternoons. Candidates should have a strong ballet as well as jazz background and experience teaching young children. The Dance Instructor will play a pivotal role in developing students' skills, confidence, and an appreciation for the art of dance.

Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver engaging age and level-appropriate lessons in beginning ballet technique to children ages 6-10, following a pre-set curriculum.
- Plan and deliver engaging age and level-appropriate lessons for recital classes in Ballet/Jazz, for children ages 5-7, following a pre-set curriculum.
- Create a positive and inclusive learning environment for students.
- Implement effective classroom management strategies to ensure a productive learning atmosphere.
- Adapt teaching methods and materials to meet the diverse needs of the students.
- Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback.
- Collaborate with other instructors and staff to develop curriculum and enhance teaching techniques.
Skills:
- Strong dance background with the ability and experience to teach dance to children ages 5-10.
- Proficiency in dance, specifically ballet and jazz.
- Excellent classroom management skills to effectively engage and motivate students.
- Ability to create a safe and inclusive learning environment for all students.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with students, parents, and colleagues.
- Patience and empathy when working with students of varying abilities and backgrounds.
- Flexibility to adapt teaching methods and materials based on individual student needs.
