Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve high-quality coffee beverages, utilizing skills with Clover POS systems to process orders accurately and efficiently
- Handle cash transactions with precision, including cashiering and cash handling duties, ensuring proper register operation and balanced cash drawers
- Provide outstanding customer service by greeting guests warmly, taking orders, answering questions about menu items, and addressing any concerns promptly
- Assist in food preparation and food handling tasks to ensure safety standards are maintained while delivering fresh, delicious offerings
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café area, kitchen stations, and food service zones following food safety protocols
- Manage time effectively during busy periods to serve customers quickly without compromising quality or safety standards
- Support sales goals by upselling menu items and promoting specials to enhance guest experience
Qualifications
- Prior barista experience or coffee knowledge is highly desirable; a passion for coffee culture is a plus!
- Experience with POS systems such as Clover to facilitate smooth order processing
- Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of food safety standards, proper food handling techniques, and basic math skills for retail math and cash handling
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, positive attitude that creates a welcoming atmosphere
- Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and evenings as needed in a café or retail setting
- Basic understanding of food preparation, serving techniques, and the food industry standards
