Position Overview
The Call Center Agent supports the mission and vision of Five Rivers Health Centers by working directly with patients as the first point of contact to efficiently schedule, cancel, and/or confirm appointments while maintaining patient confidentiality.
General Responsibilities
- Answers inbound calls from patients in a courteous and empathetic manner, confirms patient demographics, insurance information, and referral requirements, routes messages to other departments, providers, and staff in a clear and concise manner after accurately verifying information.
- Provides appointment details and associated follow-up information.
- Documents patient interactions in the electronic health record accurately.
- Resolves patient questions and escalate issues or complaints as appropriate.
- Documents patient refill requests
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent required
- Associates Degree in the healthcare or business field preferred
- Minimum of one year of customer service experience required
- Windows-based computer experience required
- Medical terminology knowledge preferred
