As a Child Engagement Intern, you will have opportunities to work directly with clients and families. Interns will conduct child engagement, assist with the center’s annual projects, participate in on-call crisis support, and create activities that promote distraction and coping techniques.
Accepting Degree Majors in: Psychology, Family Studies, Criminal Justice, Child Development, Child Life, or other related fields.
Internship Requirements:
Weekly Availability: 16 hours in the spring/fall and 20 hours in the summer.
- Participate in a mandatory three-day orientation prior to beginning the internship
- Pass a criminal background check
- Pass an applicant interview process
- Scheduled on-call emergency child engagement
