The Complex Welder is responsible reading and interpreting engineering drawings and fabricating a product in a timely, cost effective and consistent manner to ensure a quality end product with a high degree of detail, to ensure external customer requirements are met.
Role & Responsibilities:

Perform MIG welding on mild steel, ranging from 20 gauge to 1-inch thickness

Read and interpret blueprints, welding symbols, and setup requirements

Use metal finishing tools such as grinders, abrasives, and other hand tools to achieve high finish standards

Operate equipment such as cranes, positioners, magnets, and fixtures for positioning and securing workpieces

Layout, cut, punch, and drill materials for fabrication

Inspect products for defects and ensure conformance with quality standards

Handle and fabricate various steel materials, including tubes, angles, and channels (16 gauge to ½” thick)
