Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Behavior Technician (BT) to join our dynamic team in providing high-quality behavioral support to children and individuals with developmental disabilities. Responsibilities
- Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including grooming, dressing, and hygiene routines
- Collect and record behavioral data accurately during therapy sessions to monitor progress and inform treatment plans
- Implement individualized behavior management strategies based on client-specific care plans and ABA protocols
- Support teaching and skill acquisition activities tailored to each client’s needs, including communication, social skills, and functional independence
- Maintain detailed medical documentation, progress notes, and behavioral records in compliance with HIPAA regulations
- Collaborate with supervising behavior analysts and team members to ensure consistency in therapy delivery and client progress
- Communicate effectively with clients’ families and caregivers to promote understanding of treatment goals and reinforce strategies at home
Requirements
- Prior experience working with children or individuals with neurodevelopmental disorders such as autism spectrum disorders (ASD) or other disabilities is preferred but not required
- Knowledge of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) principles, behavior management techniques, and data collection methods
- Ability to assist with ADLs and support clients through structured teaching activities
- Strong understanding of medical terminology, medical records management, and confidentiality standards under HIPAA
- Experience working in school settings or home-based environments is a plus
- Excellent communication skills for client interaction, team collaboration, and family engagement
- Demonstrated professionalism aligned with the Professional and Ethical Compliance Code for Behavior Analysts
