Afternoon Assistant Preschool Teacher Position - $19-$22/Hr. depending on experience
Hours 2:00-5:30pm Monday - Friday
St. Mark’s Montessori School is an authentic Montessori program located near Nob Hill. We provide an enriching learning environment for our students and employ professional individuals to care for our students. We support our Guides and Teachers through flexible scheduling and support in academic pursuits.
A good candidate would be someone who has previous experience working with young children as well as someone who wishes to stay in the early childcare field and has a background or interest in Montessori. We are looking for someone who is reliable, responsible, and enjoys working with children. As an assistant, your responsibilities would be as follows:
· Be communicative and reliable
· Help in the set up and functioning of the classroom including planning for afternoon activities
· Help students with self-care and regulation
· Be willing to help all age groups (18 months - 6 years old) depending on need
· Be respectful and helpful towards all staff and students
· Be ready to acquire new skills to better yourself and the classroom
· Be courteous and helpful to parents and families
Requirements:
High School Diploma or equivalent
Able to pass a background check
18 years of age or older
Preferences:
NM Child Care and Development Fund Training (Health & Safety Orientation Training)
NM Early Education Introductory Training (45 Hour course)
1 year+ experience working with young children
Montessori experience (either attending as a student or serving as a teacher)
