Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Accounting & Finance Specialist with bilingual proficiency in English and Mandarin to join our team. Duties
- Prepare, analyze, and interpret financial statements in accordance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and regulatory requirements.
- Manage accounts payable and receivable processes, ensuring timely payments and collections.
- Conduct bank reconciliations, general ledger accounting, and account reconciliation to maintain accurate financial records.
- Perform month-end closing activities, including journal entries, balance sheet reconciliation, and financial report writing.
- Utilize accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, PeopleSoft, or similar platforms to record transactions and generate reports.
- Support internal controls by ensuring compliance with SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley Act) standards and assisting with audits.
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis to support strategic decision-making.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on tax preparation, regulatory reporting, and non-profit or governmental accounting projects as needed.
- Mentor junior team members in technical accounting practices such as double-entry bookkeeping, debits & credits, and accrual accounting.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of securities law, Wills & Trusts law, and other relevant legal frameworks affecting financial operations.
Requirement
- Proven experience in corporate accounting, public accounting or non-profit accounting environments.
- Strong technical skills including proficiency with Microsoft Excel; experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, Xero or PeopleSoft is essential.
- Deep understanding of GAAP principles; familiarity with SOX compliance is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of LIHTC (Low-Income Housing Tax Credit), tax experience, securities law or governmental accounting is a plus.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and prepare comprehensive reports.
- Bilingual fluency in English and Mandarin preferred; strong communication skills required for effective collaboration across diverse teams.
- Ability to mentor colleagues on financial concepts such as account analysis, cash flow analysis, budget management and financial statement interpretation.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail; ability to prioritize tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Pay: $45,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
