Duties
- Design and implement comprehensive lesson plans that integrate bilingual curriculum standards for early childhood education.
- Foster a positive classroom atmosphere that promotes active learning, respect, and inclusivity for students with varied learning styles and needs.
- Use educational technology tools to enhance instruction and monitor student progress effectively.
- Conduct assessments, analyze student performance data, and adapt teaching strategies to support individual learning goals.
- Manage classroom behavior through effective behavior management techniques and create a safe, nurturing environment conducive to learning.
- Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum development, special education initiatives, and school-wide programs such as literacy education and math interventions.
- Mentor new teachers and provide guidance on classroom management, lesson planning, and working with children with autism or other special needs.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field; advanced certifications in early childhood education or bilingual education preferred.
- Valid teaching license or certification for elementary education with bilingual endorsement required.
- Proven classroom experience working with young children in diverse settings; private school experience is a plus.
- Strong understanding of childhood development principles, learning styles adaptability, and educational compliance regulations.
- Excellent communication skills in both Spanish and English; ability to effectively engage students, parents, and staff.
- Experience with curriculum development, standardized testing preparation, tutoring, and literacy education strategies.
- Knowledge of educational technology integration, learning technology tools, and library services relevant to elementary education.
