What You'll Do
As a Removal Defense Paralegal, you'll play a vital role in preparing cases from intake through resolution by:
- Managing a high-volume removal defense caseload
- Drafting applications, declarations, motions, legal correspondence, and supporting documents
- Preparing filings for EOIR, USCIS, ICE, and the BIA
- Gathering documents and organizing for court hearings
- Preparing applications and related immigration filings
- Monitoring court deadlines and ensuring timely filings
- Communicating regularly with clients regarding case status and document requests
- Maintaining accurate case records using case management software
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of immigration paralegal experience, with a strong emphasis on removal defense
- Experience preparing EOIR filings and Immigration Court documents
- Working knowledge of USCIS, EOIR, and ICE procedures
- Experience preparing asylum, cancellation of removal, adjustment of status, waivers (I-601/I-601A), and related applications
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Exceptional attention to detail
Spanish bilingual , required
Experience with immigration case management software is preferred
